The comparative study is one of three exam components in the IB visual art course. It's purpose is to investigate and evaluate different artworks and artists by comparing and contrasting their cultural context and purpose/function. I explored Franz Winterhalter's Queen Victoria. Wiley Kehinde's Napoleon leading the Army Over the Alps, and lastly Jacques-Louis Davis's Napoleon Crossing the Alps.
